The Pearl of the Concho Writing Project is a National Writing Project site. The National Writing Project is one of the nation's success stories in education. Founded in 1973, the project improves the quality of writing and learning in schools across the country through its professional development model of teachers-teaching-teachers. The National Writing Project network consists of nearly 200 sites in 50 states and Puerto Rico.

 

The PCWP provides programs to promote and improve writing and the teaching of writing.
